Dear Krishna,
My son, Basil, and I are so sad to learn that your beloved Vodka has passed away. I understand how devastated you must be and my heart goes out to you. You did everything you possibly could for him, and you gave him a wonderful life.
Thank you for your kind words in your email earlier Saturday. I started a reply today but did not get to finish it. I will send it later. My heart breaks every day for my dearest darling Han. I miss him so much.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I wish I could give you a hug.

I just want to let you know how sorry I am to hear about Vodka. I can only begin to imagine how difficult the last week has been for you guys.
I hope you take some solace in knowing that you tried to do everything you could, and that this site has been a great source of information/benefit to others.
Take care.

I just read about Vodka’s passing on the Arte site and visited this blog for the first time. What beautiful photos of your sweet boy. I am so sorry for your loss. I am still missing Jenny - it has been just over a month since she passed. This is the hardest time for us, but the pain and suffering are ended for Vodka and Jenny. I am sure Vodka knows that you fought bravely along with him and gave him all the love and help possible. Please stay connected, continue to learn and help others and fight this terrible disease. Love and grace to you, Linda

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I happended upon your blog site as my Bismark was going through the same palladia treatment for Mast Cell tumor. We lost him in March. I frequently checked back to see how Vodka was doing and was very sad to see your last post. I am sure he knows how much you cared and all you did for him. There is peace in knowing they are no longer suffering. Hoping your feelings of loss are soon filled with the happy memories of your life together.

I’m very saddened to see that Vodka has passed away.
We are battling the same awful disease and have learned that it is now systemic. Our Katie is 9.

I am sorry to hear about Vodka. My Casper is almost a spitting image…especially the picture of him with his head on the table. He just turned 10 in April and has a MCT in his front left armpit - about grapefruit sized (now). He is on Palladia as well. I am currently going through the same rollercoaster. Thank you thank you thank you for taking the time to blog your experiences. It’s made this journey, so far, a bit more bearable.

First off I want to say that I as sorry for your loss. Losing a loved pet is a very sad experience. I also want to thank you for Vodka and your journey with the Palladia. It is people like you and wonderful dogs like Vodka that have helped save my boys life. I have a 5 year old male boxer with MCT Grade 3 tumor on his face with lymph node involvement. On May 26, 2009 they told me he would not live more than 2 weeks. The Palladia is still in the trial stage but we got in on the trial. 3 weeks in and his tumor is shrinking and the lymph node is also shrinking.
We owe our miracle to all of the amazing dogs and their brave owners that have brought us to this place. You are amazing!!

I’m feeling your pain:( Thanks so much for all of your posts. They really help me to understand what my boy is going through. I have a almost 14 year old choc lab, Frisco who is now on Palladia. He has had mast cell cancer since 2/2008. He is doing wonderful on Palladia but it has only been a month and his tumor is almost completely gone. He is exp some appetite changings but no other issues. I add either pumpkin, apple, melted PB or a mix of olive oil and gratedcheese to his food which helps him finish his meal. From what you said about Vodka’s normal appetite it seems to be equal to Frisco who usually can’t eat enough. He also has larynx paralyis so his breathing does seems like it is getting worse. I am so afraid of losing him and I don’t know how I am going to go on after he is gone. I hope you are finding peace in knowing that you were a wonderful pet owner and did all you could for your lovely dog,Vodka.

I just read your blog on Vodka. Vodka was truly special and you did everything you could to help him. Your blog is truly informative and I thank you for sharing your journey with Vodka. Tracy (beagle mix) is currently on the Palladia route. She’s had one week (MWF) of treatment. I’m not able to tell if the tumor shrank or not but the swelling on her leg came back. The larger of the two tumors is in her groin region. She seems to have a bit of weakness in her hind legs and I’ll address that tomorrow with the oncologist. Your blog and how you documented everything is remarkable. May God give you peace and comfort and beautiful memories of Vodka to cherish forever.
