Lal Bahadur Vodka.

One of the funniest dogs to ever land on this planet.

This big, golden, goofy labrador often sleeps with his ball in the crook of his arm. And he spends most waking moments waiting to chase it around. And yes, he loves the water. And can spend hours swimming after his ball. And he loves food as much, if not more. And yes, he can spend hours begging for morsels and flooding the floor with his drool :)

This utterly adorable pooch has been diagnosed with mast cell tumors.

The last several weeks have been an incredibly traumatic experience. And yet, it has been a knowledge trip - we now know a *lot* more about cancer and alternative remedies and treatment options and herbs and homeopathy and what not. A lot more than I ever expected to learn in my lifetime. And this is only the beginning.

This blog is about our learnings every day. About Vodka’s treatment, his response, his adventures. And about our quest to keep him healthy and happy.

The overwhelming outpouring of concern, support and affection from friends, family, acquaintances and folks who haven’t even met Vodka has been truly moving. We believe in the power of positive thinking - and we’re really hoping that all this goodwill is going to help Vodka beat the odds!
